Washington Crossing Historic Park- Learn about a significant piece of our nations history with an educational and fun-filled day at the site where General George Washington crossed Delaware River on Christmas Night in 1776 to defeat the Hessian Troops. Encounter re-enactments throughout the park and tour historical structures with a tale around every corner.  

Ghost Tours- It’s never too early for a haunted story! Experience one of the most haunted towns in the region with the Ghost Tours of New Hope. Follow a lantern led walk through picturesque streets where you’ll learn about the phantom Hitchhiker who may pass you in the moonlight or the historic inn where Aaron Burr may stare at you with sightless eyes. Goosebumps??  

Shady Brook Farm- One of the last working farms in Bucks County, this farm is a great place for family fun! In addition to picking your own crops throughout the summer, partake in ongoing festivals which include hayrides, live concerts and the infamous Uncle Dave’s Homemade Ice Cream!  

Silver Lake Nature Center- This 253-acre "Natural Treasure” is a place where lush foliage, accessible wetlands and rich woodlands are abound. Discover rare and threatened animal and plant species like the Red Belly Turtle or hike along their trails or escape to their beautiful Butterfly Garden!  

State Parks- Bucks County is home to many parks such as Nockamixon, Peace Valley and Ralph Stover State Park! Take advantage of the countless acres between them with boat rentals, hiking trails, fishing and canoeing. Bring your bike or hiking shoes and discover the miles of historical and scenic trails of Bucks County!

Ringing Rocks Park- This boulder field is a park like no other! For numerous years, scientists have been baffled with the mystery of when the 12,000 year old rocks are struck with a hammer; they produce a high pitched ringing noise. Have your family experience their very own “Rock Concert!”

Giggleberry Fair at Peddler’s Village
- An explosion of fun with the region’s largest indoor obstacle, Giggleberry Mountain! Take a twirl on the Restored 1922 Grand Carousel or get lost in Discovery Land. Giggleberry Fair is set within Peddler’s Village, an 18th century style shopping village set amongst 42 acres of landscaped gardens- perfect for Mom too!  

The Mercer Mile- This impressive belt of historical attractions is comprised of Fonthill Castle, Mercer Museum, the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works. Fonthill, which feels more like a European castle than a museum, was the home of creative genius Henry Mercer and every room is strikingly indicative of that genius. The Mercer Museum is a grouping of towering castle houses that exhibit dramatic displays of folk art, furnishings and tools of early America. The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works is a working history museum that continues to produce tiles and mosaics in a manner similar to that employed by Henry Mercer himself.  

New Hope & Ivyland Railroad- Enjoy a 50 Minute narrated train ride through scenic Bucks County on an early 1900 antique coach pulled by a 1925 Baldwin Steam Engine. During the week, local musicians entertain the children with Song & Story Hour Trains!  

Michener Museum- Your child will experience Bucks County's artistic traditions while exploring a variety of techniques to create original works of art. The Children's Gallery is designed to stimulate, excite and encourage kids to explore their creativity, develop critical problem-solving abilities, and expand cultural heritage awareness.  

Pennsbury Manor- Pennsbury Manor, the 17th century country manor house of William Penn, is open to the public and offers a glimpse of how the founder of Pennsylvania spent his days. This reconstructed 43 acre plantation is abounding with country life, featuring a manor house, outbuildings, livestock and gardens.  

Crayola Factory- At The Crayola FACTORY, you’ll be immersed in color and creativity – a place where there's no limitation to creativity and imagination! You can color, draw, paint and create with the latest Crayola products without the worry of cleanup afterwards. Learn about the history of the Crayola brand and explore dozens of interactive projects and activities!

Old Fashioned 4th of July at Fonthill Castle- Experience "the good-old days" as Fonthill re-creates an early 20th century July Fourth Celebration. Festivities include a bike parade, a town ball game (19th-century baseball), free old-time games and live music.
Celebration of Freedom at Peddlers Village- Live entertainment, children's activities, and picnic-style favorites await you at this patriotic event. Fireworks display at 9:15pm.
