Bucks County, PA- Effective in early February, the Bucks County Conference & Visitor’s Bureau has decided to discontinue use of BucksCounty.Travel and announces www.VisitBucksCounty.com as their new domain name.
David West, Marketing Director of the BCCVB states, “It is very important, from a marketing stance, to have a domain that correlates to our mission.” He adds, “A domain name should be memorable and easy to find. There is no mistaking VisitBucksCounty.com. There is no mistaking what our call to action is.”

For the past few years, the BCCVB has supported the travel industry with the development of the .travel domain. It is an industry sponsored and exclusive domain that only allows travel organizations who go through an authentication process acquire a .travel website. Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) was one of the very early supporters of the .travel concept. However, their Board of Directors recently met and voted to terminate their business support of the .travel registry program. DMAI believes that the original idea seemed to be the perfect concept, however, the business model failed despite a good faith effort to make it work.

BucksCounty.Travel will direct you to the new website; however, all new promotional materials and products will advertise the new website.

The mission of the Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau, Inc. is to increase visitation to Bucks County by effectively marketing its heritage, accommodations and attractions.
