Nearly 200 LGBT Leaders From Across the East Coast to Meet in New Hope
(Bucks County, PA) Visit Bucks County, the official tourism promotion agency for Bucks County and New Hope Celebrates welcome the North East Regional Pride (NERP) Conference to New Hope March 7-10. The three-day conference will bring approximately 200 leaders from LGBT communities throughout the East Coast to New Hope, resulting in nearly 300 room nights.
The goal of the conference is to bring together leaders of Regional Pride organizations to network, educate and share best practices to bring back to their respective LGBT communities. A screening and discussion of the groundbreaking film “Trans,” a sneak preview at New Hope Celebrates’ current project to open an LGBT history museum in New Hope and educational sessions are just a few of the highlights of the conference. A performance by local gay singer Christine Martucci and a viewing of locally-produced film “Embraceable You” are key opportunities for New Hope Celebrates to share what makes New Hope so special to conference attendees. Additionally, there will be many opportunities for attendees to experience New Hope’s vibrant nightlife and dining scene.
"New Hope Celebrates is extremely excited to be hosting the 2013 NERP Conference and showing off the town," said Daniel Brooks, founder and president of New Hope Celebrates. "Unlike other NERP conferences that focus on one hotel in a city, we are spreading our activities throughout town so that each attendee will return home with a taste of all that composes our diverse and unique community!"
Attendees will stay at hotels and B&Bs throughout New Hope, including The Raven, New Hope Lodge, Porches B&B and the Wishing Well Guesthouse. To fully experience this charming river town, attendees will have the option of walking or taking a shuttle to various educational sessions and social activities.
“Recently named one of the ‘Top 10 LGBT Vacation Destinations’ by The Huffington Post, Visit Bucks County couldn’t be happier to welcome the NERP delegates,” said Jerry Lepping, Executive Director. “We’re thrilled to showcase everything New Hope has to offer from fine dining, unique shopping and lively entertainment to such an esteemed group of LGBT community leaders.”
