Grand Illumination Celebration at Peddlers Village
November 20th-December 31

Santa switches on the Villages outdoor holiday light display on Friday at 6:15 pm to kick off the holiday season and his weekend visits with children at Giggleberry Fair through December. Join us for free cider and marshmallow toasting that evening. Visit our shops throughout the weekend and preview our merchants distinctive choices for holiday gift giving. North Pole Express on The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad
November 20-December 23
Ride the rails with Santa, Mrs. Claus and a host of holiday revelers for a truly unique holiday experience the whole family is sure to enjoy! Children and adults of all ages are invited to ride the special holiday train, listen to a story, have free hot cocoa and cookies while Santa visits with each child and presents them with a special gift. Also onboard, local musicians play & sing Christmas carols for all to enjoy and participate in. This is definitely a holiday experience not to be missed!

29th Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Display
November 20 - January 2

The 29th Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Display in the Village Gazebo will feature more than 100 incredible creations of gingerbread and confection! Visitors are also invited to preview the merchants’ distinctive choices for holiday gift giving to kick off the Merchants Open House weekend, November 20-22. Village shopkeepers will welcome visitors with refreshments and something for everyone on your gift list.

November 17 - December
Celebrate the holidays at the Pearl S. Buck House by touring the Festival of Trees. With over a dozen trees, beautifully decorated by community organizations and businesses, plus other holiday decorations, the House is truly something to experience during the festive season.

Byers' Choice Festival of Trees & Christmas Tea
November 21 - November 22
Visit our Christmas Museum to get decorating ideas for your home this holiday. On Saturday, we will enjoy tea and focus on decorating with the Caroler figurines. On Sunday, we will enjoy tea and present a holiday wreath demonstration. Reservations are required

Bristol Holiday Parade
November 21

Line up will be at 11 am and step off will be at 12 o’clock noon. Parade route to begin at James Buchanan Elementary School, Haines Road, towards Mill Creek Parkway and ending at Harry S Truman High School.

Bucks County Holiday TreeFest at Bucks County Visitors Center
November 24 - January 9

The Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem will be decorated for the Holidays! Twenty-five uniquely themed trees will be on display though January 13, 2010 in the main gallery of the Bucks County Visitors Center. Each tree is decorated according to a specific theme individually sponsored by a member of the Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau. The TreeFest kicks off to the public on Tuesday, November 24. Don’t forget to bring the kids… Santa will be arriving on a fire truck with Mrs. Clause at 6pm and magically turn on all the Christmas lights to the tress with his magic dust! Santa will return for pictures on November 29th, December 6th and December 13th from 1-3pm. Santa will be extending his hours until 4:30pm on December 13th for pictures with your pets! Bucks County visitors and residents are invited to come in and take in the spirit of the holidays!

15th Annual Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm
November 25 - January 10

Experience the magic of millions of lights illuminating acres of farmland during our Holiday Light Show! Whimsical holiday displays and familiar characters. Drive through in the comfort of your own car or enjoy the show on a moonlit hayride. Drive-thru open Nov. 25, 2009 through Jan. 10, 2010 from Dusk to 10 PM. Hayride open select dates from 6 to 8 PM. Our Holiday Light Show benefits the Salvation Army, & the MS Society.

Sweet Christmas at Byers' Choice

We will be unveiling our Chocolate House and Mrs. Claus will be here to greet our guests, too! Visit with Mrs. Claus as she hands out sweets to the children she meets. Bring your camera and take your picture next to our full-sized Chocolate Gingerbread House.

Sesame Place Holiday Party!

Sesame Place will be open on Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29 for our Holiday Party! On these special operating days, guests can enjoy dry rides, character appearances, Elmo's World Live! shows, Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hunt shows, Rock Around the Block Parade and holiday shopping and dining with the characters!

Holiday Kick-off and Tree Lighting in New Hope
November 29

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce will kick off the holidays with their Annual Tree Lighting. Join Santa & Mrs. Claus as they arrive in a horse-drawn carriage to open the official holiday shopping season in New Hope. Join us for caroling, refreshments and the lighting of the tree in front of historic The Logan Inn. Santa, his elves and The Bucks County Chorale Society for an evening of holiday cheer. Toys for Tots and The Salvation Army will be present collecting items for those less fortunate.

Winter Wonderland: Holiday Decorations at Fonthill Castle

Visit Fonthill for a regular tour and experience Henry Mercer’s castle decked out for the holidays with themed trees and Victorian decorations. Reservations recommended. Winter Wonderland tours continue through January 3.

Holly Nights at Pennsbury Manor
December 3-4

Experience the enchantment of Pennsbury by candlelight! A community tradition for over 25 years, this joyous feast for the senses offers crackling fires, hot-mulled cider, dancing shadows, and the merry sounds of carolers strolling the grounds. So gather friends and family. Come toss a green sprig on our Yule log bonfire, make your wish for the coming new year. Step back into the glow of torches, candles, and luminaries…the bustle of colonial craftspeople (always happy to chat, mind you!)…the good cheer of noels and wassailing songs … and – if Old Man Winter wills it – the crunch of frosty pathways underfoot.

Tinicum Park Old Fashioned Christmas

Step back in time to a slower paced age of carriage rides and holiday festivities. This very successful program is in its sixth year. So join the fun at this holiday program for all ages. This program will feature horse drawn antique carriage rides all decorated for the holiday season. TWELVE TWENTY-FOUR at Sellersville Theater

Newtown’s Santa Parade

Newtown's Santa Parade is a family tradition and continues to provide a magical experience for the whole family. The parade will step off at 2pm from The Stocking Works on South State Street and travel north then turn left onto Washington Avenue then continue west one block to Sycamore Street and turn right. The parade will then continue north on Sycamore Street and end at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Some of the parade highlights include: 25 of the Famous Philadelphia Mummers in The Polish American String Band, parade Floats & Fire Trucks, Horse Drawn Carriages, Santa and much, much more! Bring Blankets and chairs!

Mercer Museum Holiday Open House
December 8

Delight in the sounds, scents, and scenes of the holidays at the Mercer’s traditional Holiday Open House. The festivities kick-off with a musical parade escorting Ole’ St. Nick to the museum’s log house where he will be stationed all evening to take children’s requests and hand out keepsake ornaments. Sip hot cider, sing along with carolers, listen to musical performances, and wish your troubles away by participating in the "burning of the greens." Across the street are more holiday festivities at the Michener Art Museum.

Christmas Tree Lighting at the Stagecoach Tavern, Meetinghouse Square, Fallsington: Guests are invited to gather ’round and celebrate the lighting of our Christmas tree, adorned with handcrafted ornaments made by the children from the William Penn Center Preschool and Kindergarten, and enjoy the beautiful seasonal music presented by the Fallsington United Methodist Church Worship Choir.

This very popular concert features the jazz music of Vince Guaraldi from the beloved holiday classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. The concerts are not only entertaining but introduce children to jazz in a live concert setting.
