HSMAI TO HONOR BUCKS COUNTY CONFERENCE & VISITORS BUREAU WITH A GOLD & BRONZE AWARD IN ITS ANNUAL ADRIAN AWARDS COMPETITION
Winners Will Be Honored at Adrian Awards Gala Jan. 26, 2009 in New York City
(Bucks County, PA) The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau (BCCVB) with a Gold & Bronze Adrian Award for Advertising Excellence for its winning entry in the 52nd annual Adrian Awards Competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.
HSMAI will pay tribute to Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau during the 19th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on Jan. 26, 2009 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
The mission of the BCCVB is to increase visitation in Bucks County by effectively marketing its heritage and its diverse sites and attractions. The 2008 Marketing Campaign “Bucks On Your Mind” targeted the Metropolitan New York area by blanketing their commuter rail trains with 850 train cards and 70 platform posters.
The Gold Award was given to honor advertising excellence for the “Bucks On Your Mind” series featuring several different creatives. The Bronze Award was for the individual creative in the series featuring the Bowman Hill’s Wildflower Preserve. As a Gold Winner, the BCCVB will be advanced to Platinum Award Judging as well as highlighted in a Gold Winners video presentation and listed on event signage at the Gala in January.

This year’s contest attracted nearly 1,300 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry.
In addition to celebrating Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau award-winning work, the Gala honors lifetime achievement and the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.” All winning entries will be accessible in the Adrian Awards Winners Gallery online following the gala at www.adrianawards.com.
