* Enjoy our Covered Bridge Tour on a chill Autumn Day! Reminisce in the romanticism of a driving tour through twelve of our covered bridges dating back to the 1800’s. Take in the scenery as our covered bridges are located off the beaten path. In a time when people used them as direct routes over waterways for their horse and buggies, we are now able to take advantage of the beautiful infrastructure and take in a bit of history & beauty as we drive, walk, hike or bike through all of the Bucks County Covered Bridges! * From Farm to Table! Bucks County Bed & Breakfasts have embraced the concept of “Going Green”! The Inn at Bowman’s Hill are proud owners of a flock of free-range chickens! Guests delight in the sight of seeing 21 chickens storming toward them in expectations of a handout! Holly Hedge Farm Estate & Spa has created a blog to cover the process of them becoming “green” from milling lumber from fallen trees to making maple syrup from trees on property to organic gardening. Explore his process of "Visual Thinking" through works of art, photographs, documents, puppets, film and video. Take a peek into the mind of a genius September 12th-November 20th!  

* The Arts & Crafts Mecca of the Region! From September 26-27th 16th Annual New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival boasts over 125 artists presenting and selling their work at this annual juried event in historic New Hope. This prestigious event features the work of premier artists and craftspeople complete with musical entertainment and a children’s activity booth.  

* A Family Friendly Fright! Count’s Halloween Spooktakular at Sesame Place celebrates Halloween with The Count! Guests are invited to visit Sesame Place dressed in costume, trick-or-treat throughout the park, walk through Count's castle, see the characters dressed in costume, hayrides and enjoy the ALL NEW Halloween themed Elmo’s World Live Show.  

* All Aboard the Fall Foilage Train! New Hope & Ivyland Railroad highlights Bucks County’s beautiful autumn colors over the length of their entire Railroad on a 35 mile, 2 1/2 hour round trip. Check out our naturally beauty aboard a historic restored 1920s vintage passenger coaches with an antique bar car pulled by a 1925 Baldwin Steam locomotive  This trip available Saturdays and Sundays through October!  

* Peddler’s Village Scarecrow Competition & Display- Bigger than life scarecrow creations are displayed outdoors and compete for over $4900 in cash prizes at this 18th century style shopping village sprawled among 42 acres of landscaped gardens. These exceptional pieces of American Folk art are displayed from September 7th -October 25th in the following categories: The Keystone Krow, Traditional/Whirligig, Extraordinary Contemporary, KidsOnly!, Quite The Character, and Group Crow.  

* Check out the Bucks County Wine Trail! Celebrate our Grape Harvest from October 10th-11th and taste fresh pressed juice and newly fermented wine. Check out the hustle and bustle around all nine of our wineries as the harvest is taking place!

* The “Fill ‘er Up!” Vintage Gas Stations Exhibit loads up at the Mercer Museum from October 10th – December 31st! This unique exhibit commemorates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the American Oil Industry in 1859 with vintage photos of local filling and service stations from the 1920s through the 1960s, along with artifacts from the Mercer and other collections.  

* A Festival for Pumpkins with an early 1900 castle as its backdrop! Pumpkinfest is in its' 18th year and attracts 25,000 people over the course of the two days in October on the grounds of the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works. This event showcases area artists carving giant 100-300 pound pumpkin. Live musical entertainment on two stages, games, food, storytelling and childrens activities!  

* Bucks County’s largest festival! Peddler’s Village hosts the ever popular Apple Festival from November 7th-8th! Scrumptious apple treats including country apple butter, apple cider, apple dumplings, apple fritters and everyone’s favorite -- apples dipped in caramel! Take home a bushel fresh from the orchard. Juried Artisans sell their wares and demonstrate their skills, complete with live entertainment and apple pie-eating contests add to the festivities of this traditional autumn celebration!
