Jewelry Designer Shares her Passion “The Art of Jewelry Making”
at Bucks County Visitors Center

(Bucks County, PA) The Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau continues its latest program “Second Sunday with the Arts” with Christel Hoffman, owner of Christel’s Productions Limited Inc. Christel will be speaking about her unique jewelry art in a presentation titled “The Art of Jewelry Making.” On Sunday, November 9th from 1pm - 3pm at the Bucks County Visitors Center in Bensalem. Immediately following the presentation, Christel will have her items available for sale.

Christel Hoffman is a Certified PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Guild Instructor who teaches workshops in PMC, glass bead making and other jewelry making techniques. She designs and creates mostly one of a kind, original jewelry. Her work is made of sterling, fine silver, gold, genuine and synthetic stones, semi precious beads, found objects, and her own hand made lamp-worked glass beads. Locally, her jewelry can be bought at the Michener Museum in Doylestown and New Hope.

Christel is a juried member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen and has held several board positions for the Bucks County Chapter of the Guild, including; Advertising/Publicity, Director at Large, Vice President, and Membership Chairman. She was the Craftsman in Residence at the PGC from 1996 to 2001.

As a child, Christel was always interested in rocks and gems. She would sift through the faceted glass stones belonging to her grandfather, a goldsmith from Pforzheim, Germany. Her inspiration comes from nature; fish, shells, flowers and leaves She employs many processes in the manufacture of her jewelry. Christel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metals from Boston University, with a Minor in Art History and Geology.
