Visit Bucks County Welcomes President of Growth Properties Hospitality Management to Board of Directors

(Bucks County, PA) Visit Bucks County (VBC), the official tourism promotion agency of Bucks County, announces the addition of a new Board Member Ron Gilbert. Gilbert will serve through 2014 with his appointed position.

Ron Gilbert is President and a principal of Growth Properties Hospitality Management, which manages more than 25 independent, franchise and boutique hotels. As President, Mr. Gilbert is responsible for the overall supervision and management of all company operations. Mr. Gilbert has or currently serves on the board of the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society, The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association as well as the Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. A Certified Hotel Administrator, he has taught various American Hotel/Motel Association classes and guest lecturers. Mr. Gilbert graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He currently resides in Southampton with his wife, Kim.

VBC is governed by a board of directors, comprised of 11 members appointed by the County Commissioners and seven members elected by marketing partners.  Visit Bucks County employs nine full time and 18 part time staff.
