Re-enact your medieval fantasy in the streets of New Hope, tour the studios of some of the most talented artists of Bucks County, tempt yourself not to jump in Schwarzenegger’s Terminator 2 Outfit and run into the arms of your childhood friend, Elmo.

Located just a hop, skip and a jump away from Philadelphia and New York City, so turn these fun filled days into weekend getaways!

The FIRST New Hope Renaissance Faire
April 17-18, 2010

Step back in time as New Hope is transformed into a medieval fantasy for one glorious weekend. Jugglers, dancers, fire breathers, sword fighting, medieval blacksmithing, belly dancing, pirates, wenches, storytellers, craftsmen, costumed actors, a medieval drag show along with food & wine are the many activities planned for the Fantasy Renaissance Faire!

“Icons of Costume: Hollywood Golden Era and Beyond” Exhibit at Michener Museum
April 17-September 5th, 2010

“Icons of Costume: Hollywood’s Golden Era and Beyond” Exhibit features more than 35 unforgettable fashions and accessories worn by legendary film and television actors. Selected from one of the largest and most comprehensive privately-held collections of Hollywood memorabilia, the exhibit includes such legendary costumes as Dorothy’s gingham dress from Wizard of Oz, Scarlett’s drapery dress worn in Gone with the Wind, Marilyn Monroe’s gold lamé dress from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator 2 outfit.

Opening Day of Sesame Place Kicks Off 30th Birthday Season!

Opening Day 2010 kicks off an exciting season at Sesame Place as they spend the season celebrating 30 years of furry memories and fantastic family fun! Enjoy a day in our neighborhood with dry and wet fun, plus everyone's favorite furry Sesame Street friends. Join them at 10am for the Character Arrival Parade! Season long activities are packed with live concerts, exciting parades and surprises too!

Spring Fling Festival along the Bucks County Wine Trail
May 1-2, 2010

Come and see the "rebirth" of the vines! Taste the fruits of last year’s labor along the beautiful wineries of the Bucks County Wine Trail. Combined, the wineries encompass hundreds of acres of vineyards through which visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll, beautiful views and fresh air scented with the bounty of grapes.

Strawberry Festival at Peddler’s Village
May 1-2, 2010

Craftspeople gather to show their wares and demonstrate their skills in the picturesque setting of Peddlers Village, an 18th century style shopping village sprawling over 42 acres of lavishly landscaped gardens with 70 specialty stores and six restaurants. Enjoy Strawberries served up in various ways- dipped in chocolate, in assorted pastries and
shortcake, jams, fritters. Live entertainment and pie-eating contests add to the festivities of this traditional Spring celebration!

7th Annual New Hope Pride and Parade Week
May 11-16, 2010

Every May, New Hope celebrates its diverse community with its annual New Hope Celebrates Pride Week & Parade. This week long celebration incorporates history and art walking tours, a vendor fair, softball games, nightly entertainment, family picnics and the grand parade down Main Street! All week long, visitors and residents are in celebration of the many pleasurable aspects of this diverse town.

Quakertown Alive! Presents Arts Alive! 2010

Nearly 100 juried Fine Artist & Crafters will be showcased in downtown Quakertown. Strolling entertainers will perform among the crowd and original music artists will be on stage at Third and Broad Streets. This family-oriented event offers a Children's Courtyard where activities will be provided for “Tween” audiences or younger. Also available will be popular inflatable rides as well as romantic carriage rides.. In addition, local stores, restaurants and informational booths will be open for your convenience.

2010 Tile Festival at Moravian Pottery & Tile Works
May 15-16, 2010
Celebrate art on the grounds of Henry Mercer’s working history museum! A sale of both historic and contemporary tiles are held on the grounds of the National Historic Landmark Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. This annual event will include quality tile artists and makers, and dealers of historic tiles from around the country who will gather to display a large and unique selection of ceramic art tiles. Beautiful and rare examples of handcrafted tiles will be displayed and available for sale.

Elephants Eye Studio Tour
May 15-16 and May 22-23, 2010

Experience an up close and personal encounter with some of Bucks County’s finest contemporary artists! This self paced, self guided tour showcases nationally and internationally acclaimed artists who make two- and three-dimensional work in various mediums including oil paintings, photographs, sculpture, pottery, turned wood and more. Some studios will feature visiting artists and demonstrations take place at select locations. Studios are located throughout central and upper Bucks County, and range from charming woodland retreats to converted industrial buildings.

3rd Annual Bucks County Chocolate Show

Chocolatiers bring local ingredients to life! Artisanal chocolates set the trends for 2010… understand the passion created when tasting the natural cocoa. Sample, savor and buy delicious chocolate and experience “The Journey of the Pod” exhibit. This vivid display of images, characters, and  information help illustrate the journey of the bean to bar.
