Tourism Grant Application Up and Running on Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau Website

(Bucks County, PA, Sept. 11, 2008) The Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau (BCCVB) Tourism Grant, which aims to aid non-profit historic preservation, improvements of future and existing tourism attractions, supporting the rich cultural heritage & special events in Bucks County aimed at attracting visitors, and funding marketing expenditures associated with the above, is now accessible on the Bureau’s website,

In an effort to reallocate the third 1% of the hotel tax, the Commissioners would receive $50,000 to be used for County Tourism promotion with the remainder of the money being divided equally between the BCCVB and this Grant program which will benefit non- profit tourism related organizations. Eligible recipients are limited to non profits or other entities located in Bucks County and are members of the BCCVB.

The Board of Directors of the BCCVB recognized the beauty of the plan lay with the ability to help develop tourism while benefiting both large museums and smaller organizations such as “Friends of the Delaware Canal”, future non-profit B & B Associations and a Bucks County Wine Trail to name just a few.

The Bureau will review grant applications twice a year in April and October.
