Visit Bucks County “Checks In” to Foursquare

(Bucks County PA) Visit Bucks County (VBC) can now be found on Foursquare! The mobile application and Web site allows users to “check-in” to venues and share their location with friends. Visitors and locals alike can explore Bucks County by checking-in at attractions, restaurants, hotels, wineries, bed and breakfasts, museums and much more. By using the tips listed on the official branded Foursquare page, , visitors will get quick facts and insider ideas for many of the treasures located in Philadelphia’s countryside.

An example tip:  “@ Ringing Rocks Park: Enjoy rock 'n' roll? Make sweet music by striking a hammer against boulders in this 128-acre bed of rocks! Ringing Rocks is also home to Bucks County's largest waterfall.”

“With all the momentum Foursquare is gaining, it was a no-brainer for us to devote resources in launching the official branded page for Bucks County tourism,” states Paul Bencivengo, director of marketing, Visit Bucks County. 

Visit Bucks County joins Chicago and the State of Pennsylvania as destinations with tourism branded pages. According to, a social media blog and news source, Foursquare has gained more than half a million users, 1.4 million venues, 15.5 million check-ins in its first year and it continues to grow every day. 

VBC is collaborating with local partners to get them involved with Foursquare and to add more Tips and Specials. In addition to Foursquare, Visit Bucks County is active on Facebook ( ), Twitter ( ), YouTube ( ), and Flickr ( ).
