It was a beautiful fall morning, crisp and cool but sunny. My husband, David, and I had planned out a day of adventure.[[endteaser]] But one cannot embark on an empty stomach, so our first stop was to Charcoal in Yardley, PA. They have the most amazing breakfasts! With full and happy bellies we headed up to the northern reaches of Bucks County to Ringing Rocks Park. We were like two kids - leaping from rock to rock trying to find the best and loudest boulders to strike. We continued to hike all throughout the park exploring waterfalls and new trails we had never traveled before. With tired feet we decided to hop back into the car and head home. Knowing there were a number of beautiful covered bridges between us and home I quickly plotted a map to drive through 4 of the bridges, The Uhlerstown Covered Bridge was one of them. As we approached this imposing bridge I quickly jumped out of the car and snapped the photo with my iPhone and scurried back into the car. We then drove up the steep and dangerous hill that's on the other side of the bridge - that was an adventure! We continued along passing through Cabin Run, the Loux Covered Bridge and finally Van Sant. It had been a glorious day in this amazing county we are lucky enough to call home.
