As an avid runner, I often encounter beautiful scenes, interesting people, and novelties, so I started bringing along my lightweight camera or iPhone for my longer, slower runs of 10 miles or more. The Delaware Canal Towpath is a favorite route for me here in my home town, and even though it is so familiar to me, I am still captivated by its beauty and seasonal changes. On this particular day - and moment - I stopped in my tracks to capture the low hanging bough over the still canal water. The bridge was lit just right in the sun, and the dark shades made for a beautiful contrast. Honestly, I cannot look at that image without being reminded of what a great run I had that day with my husband!
