Captured by Instagrammer @pete673Growing up in Trenton, I have always been enamored with George Washington and the Battle of Trenton. Over the years, I would occasionally visit Washington Crossing Park and the annual crossing reenactment. I am now lucky enough to live less than a quarter mile from the very site where General Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware River and changed the direction of the Revolution. I now visit the park everyday, and I almost feel an obligation to attend the reenactment. I love the history behind it and the camaraderie of those who attend. As an added bonus, the weather on Christmas day 2015 was gorgeous, unlike the harsh, freezing conditions faced in 1776.
