The holiday season has arrived in Bucks County! The area’s most popular attractions are to debuting family-favorite tree lightings, holiday parades and light shows all over the County. 

Hop aboard Santa’s Steam Spectacular this weekend at the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad for a family-fun trip with hot cocoa, cookies and PJs galore. The Visit Bucks County Photo Walk in Peddler’s Village invites photographers of all levels to explore the village for the best photo opportunities to score some sweet prizes, while sampling the village’s best sweets. Speaking of lights, Sesame Place is hosting A Very Furry Christmas starring everyone’s favorite Sesame Street characters as they dance and sing their way through the park.

Bring the little ones out to live their Christmas fantasy and hop aboard the North Pole Express for an unforgettable holiday journey!

The North Pole Express and Santa’s Steam Spectacular at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad

All aboard the North Pole Express! Join Mr. and Mrs. Claus as you depart from New Hope Station for a North Pole Express train ride in a vintage diesel locomotive through historic Bucks County. Listen to roaming Christmas carolers, sip warm cocoa and enjoy freshly baked cookies. Each child on board will get an opportunity to share their wish list with Santa Claus and receive a sleigh bell gift from the big man himself!

The New World at the Bucks County Playhouse

There goes the neighborhood! It’s 1620 and, much to the Wampanoag Indians’ chagrin, the Pilgrims are moving in — ready to rock the “new” world. From the creators of “Altar Boyz,” this outrageously funny big new musical is everything you never learned in history class!

Gingerbread Competition & Display at Peddler’s Village

More than 50 creative and uniquely themed gingerbread houses have arrived in Peddler’s Village, helping to officially kick-off the holidays in the village. Vote for your favorite cookie home and enjoy Peddler’s winter wonderland as you dine and shop your way through tons of whimsical boutiques.

When: December 1 – 3, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. (Friday & Saturday), 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Sunday)

2017 Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farms

View more than three million lights as they illuminate the acres of farmland during Shady Brook Farm’s Holiday Light Show. Hop in your car or enjoy the open air of a wagon ride as you trek through the two-mile trail, featuring festive displays and wintry sights. Warm up with some hot cocoa, take a picture with Santa and pick out the perfect Christmas tree to take home while you visit!

12th Annual Bucks County Holiday TreeFest

Visit Bucks County’s annual TreeFest returns to the Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem, inviting locals to view uniquely themed trees from some of Bucks County’s best attractions. This weekend’s events include performances by Beside Harp, Harp Circle, Bucks County Women’s Chorus, St. Ephrem Church Folk Group, Tutti Flutti Flute Group, Jody King, Youth Orchestra of Bucks County, as well as a visit by Santa for Santa Sundays. A Christmas Carol: The Musical at Newtown Theatre

No holiday season is complete without a retelling of the classic tale, A Christmas Carol. Follow Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, who help Scrooge recognize his faults and rediscover the meaning of Christmas.

Annie the Musical at McCoole’s Arts & Events Place

In the depths of the 1930's lives Annie, a fiery young girl who must live in a miserable orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes dramatically when she is selected to spend a short time at the residence of the wealthy munitions industrialist, Oliver Warbucks. Reservations are required.

Crafts at Moland House

Visit the Moland House Historic Park as they bring together the creations of more than 60 local crafters. Sesame Place

A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place

Join everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends during Sesame Place’s family-favorite holiday Celebration: A Very Furry Christmas. Sesame Place is transforming into a one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland with millions of twinkling lights, spectacular musical shows and parades.

Christmas Festival at Peddler’s Village

Celebrate the holidays at the annual Peddler’s Village Christmas Festival. Catch the Santa Parade through the Village on both Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Visit the Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Display in the Village Gazebo. Strolling musicians will entertain visitors with holiday favorites throughout the weekend. By evening, one million twinkling lights will transform the Village into a winter wonderland.

Winter Wonderland Holiday Decoration Tours at Fonthill Castle

Visit Fonthill Castle for a regular tour and see the castle dressed up for the holiday season with exquisitely decorated trees, and greens throughout the house. Trees in each room are themed to express the varied interests of Henry Mercer.

55th Annual Holiday Open House Tour in Newtown

The Annual Open House Tour gives visitors a look inside many private local homes and historic buildings decorated for the holiday season.  Reserve tickets online or stop by the Half-Moon Inn and at the Stocking Works to purchase tickets in person.

Peddler's Village

Visit Bucks County Photo Walk at Peddler’s Village

Grab your camera, iPhone, or Polaroid: Visit Bucks County will be hosting a free photo walk through Peddler’s Village! Join the VBC staff and other photo-enthusiasts on Sunday, December 3 from 3-5:30 p.m. to tour the gorgeous holiday scenery. Be a tourist in your hometown, snap pictures, do some holiday shopping, indulge in samples of the village’s best sweets and win prizes. All photography ability levels are welcome!

Visit with Santa at Froelich’s Farm and Garden

Don’t miss the jolly ol' man in his bright red suit when he stops by the Froehlich Farm this holiday season. Bring the entire family to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus to have a complimentary photo taken. Plus, enjoy some homemade cookies and hot chocolate on the house!

Small Works Show at AOY Art Center

The 2017 Show has more than 100 unique works of art by more than 45 member artists. The artists were challenged to create on a small scale and all canvases are either 8x8” or, new this year, 8x10”. The original artwork is for sale and can make an excellent gift for the artisans of the family!
