Join us for the Lady Parts art show opening. Inspired by the Lean In and Me Too feminist movements, artist Krissy Whiski has created a body of artwork that brings attention to the unrealistic standard of beauty and the over-sexualization of women that is portrayed in toys, movies, music, fashion, makeup, advertisements, and media. Women are told to be prettier, skinnier, and are being valued for looks above brains, by a capitalist industry that profits off of chipping away at our self-esteem. This show is all about flipping the switch, empowering women and young girls to love themselves as they are. The artwork is being placed on display for the entire month of June at Prop. Krissy Whiski will be present on first Friday, June 1st to meet and answer any questions. Refreshments and snacks will be served at the opening. Don’t miss out.
