You are invited to view the “En Plein Air” (open air) artwork of watercolor artist, Jane Ramsey, painting from life, outside.  There is real joy in the opportunity to create paintings in plein air.  Ramsey is drawn to the emotion of scenes infused with light, shadow and color, especially when traveling the back roads in and around Bucks County.  Jane has a passion for Bucks County barns fueled by her father’s own love of barns.  Ramsey’s studio is the great outdoors and her love for plein air goes back to her childhood and hours spent outside with her sketchbook.  Ramsey loves the sensory experience of painting right in the setting.  Jane often stops along roadsides wherever she finds inspiration. To avoid any confusion by passing motorists that she has car problems, Jane’s bumper sticker reads “I BRAKE TO PAINT – Plein Air Painter on Board”.  “I can walk right into your paintings” is a compliment she hears often.  Visit Ramsey’s exhibit and experience that “walk right into one of her paintings” feeling.
