The Mercer Museum’s annual holiday exhibit captures the excitement of Christmas from a child’s point of view. The exhibit features trees decorated to the tastes of earlier eras, together with some of the toys and games that once delighted children on Christmas mornings. The display draws from the Mercer Museum’s holdings and local private collections, and includes popular playthings from the Victorian Era through the 1980s. Period ornaments and appropriate reproductions adorn the trees, and show the evolution of Christmas traditions.
