On Independence Mall, NMAJH brings to life the 350 year history of Jews in America. The museum invites visitors of all heritages to share their own stories and reflect on their histories and identities. We welcome groups by appointment, for guided tours or self-guided exploration of the exhibition. Parties of 15 or more people qualify as groups and are eligible for discounted admission rates when booked in advance.

  • Days & Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-5:30pm. Private guided tours are available.

  • Seasonal Days & Hours of Operation: On Wednesdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Museum will stay open until 8pm. In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Passover (first day), Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur and Thanksgiving Day. The Museum also closes early (at 3 pm) on the following holiday eves: Erev Rosh Hashanah, Erev Yom Kippur, Christmas Eve. NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays (except if they happen to fall on a Monday).
