If I am doing the math correctly, since last March I have made approximately 4.986 million meals for my family. Add in snacks for the kids every 5 minutes, and that number shoots well into the billions. Sick of cooking, and in desperate need of a date night, my husband and I decided it was time to get out of the house! Luckily for us, restaurants have gone above and beyond to provide delicious and efficient service to our community under nearly impossible circumstances. Here is a list of restaurants with creative, outdoor heated dining to help you plan your next night out…
Geronimo Brewing
Doylestown
In Doylestown, Geronimo Brewing offers seating by open firepits, as well as limited tent/greenhouse seating for those who do not want to sit inside. Their brunch and lunch menus are out of this world, and their bar fare pairs perfectly with their beers available on tap and to go!
Greenhouse
New Hope
Located in New Hope, Greenhouse has taken its one-of-a-kind menu fireside. Picnic tables under a large, open, and ventilated tent allow them to adhere to strict safety protocol, without compromising on atmosphere. Large fire pits line the center of the tent, to ensure a comfortable and warm experience. They are also offering live music and other events throughout the season, so make sure to check their Facebook and Instagram when planning your trip.
Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar
Newtown
Another excellent option for igloo/personal tent dining, Harvest has 12 pods available for reservations. With lots of delicious deals and seasonal menu additions, this is an excellent option for a romantic dining experience. Harvest’s ever-changing menu and wine list never fail to impress, ensuring a wonderful evening you won’t regret.
Rocco’s at the Brick
Newtown
If you have driven through Newtown Borough during winter, you have seen Rocco’s at the Brick’s impressive tent construction. As you would expect, their outdoor dining is first class in every way, with plenty of heaters, and space between every party. And if that wasn’t enough to keep you warm and toasty, their hot chocolate will.
Solstice
Newtown
Solstice has managed to create one of the finest dining experiences in Bucks County in my opinion! Call to reserve one of their outdoor igloos, for a memorable night out. Solstice has adopted a QR ordering system. Simply scan the barcodes (provided at every table) with your phone, and you will be taken directly to their menus. My husband and I enjoyed their wide variety of craft cocktails, and the food was cooked and plated to perfection.
Vault Brewing Co.
Yardley
As a Yardley resident, I can say with certainty that The Vault always goes above and beyond. With local delivery, frozen pizza kits, and new deals on beers and seltzers all the time, they have more than earned their spot in their patron’s hearts. Their side patio area is tented and well-heated, for your comfort. Reservations are encouraged, and taken up to three days in advance.
Yardley Inn
Yardley
The Yardley Inn has opted for a large, outdoor heated tent, with plenty of space between tables and ample ventilation. The delicious options you know and love, available in a warm, comfortable, and safe atmosphere. Personally, I would brave the elements for a plate of their Handmade Ricotta Cavatelli, with Beef & Pork Bolognese, regardless if the tent was heated or not! But luckily for me, I can enjoy it without freezing my toes off.
