Newtown is kicking off the festivities this Thursday at the Green Parrot Restaurant with the 8th Annual Newtown Irish Festival, a jam-packed four-day celebration featuring live music, Irish step-dancing and crowd-favorite 5K Shamrock Shuffle. Shady Brook Farm invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy craft beers and performances by the Nicholl School of Irish Dance throughout the weekend. Fans of Irish tunes can look forward to the Irish Music Festival at the Bucks County Playhouse, which includes performances by The Galway Girls and The River Drivers.

8th Annual Newtown Irish Festival
Visit Newtown this St. Patrick’s Day weekend for their 8th Annual Newtown Irish Festival, a four-day celebration featuring live music, Irish step-dancing, traditional Irish food and drinks, kid-friendly activities, as well as the popular 5K Shamrock Shuffle. The party kicks off on March 15th with a performance by the Celtic rock band, The Galway Guild, at the Green Parrot Restaurant.

Irish Music Festival at the Bucks County Playhouse
The Galway Girls are visiting the Bucks County Playhouse this Friday to keep the tradition of authentic Irish music alive thru classics like “Four Green Fields,” “Whiskey in the Jar,” “Danny Boy” and more! Come back on Saturday to hear The River Drivers and their half dozen instruments perform traditional Irish songs with a bit of Scottish flare.
