Through the Lens: Modern Photography in the Delaware Valley

Brand new exhibit! Through the Lens explores nearly 70 years of artistic experimentations with photographic processes and subject matter by artists in the Delaware Valley region. With work ranging from carefully hand-painted, bucolic landscapes to decisive snapshots taken on the street, Through the Lens highlights distinctive work in the Michener’s photography collection, including many that have never before been on view.

Sally Mayes

Take a journey with a consummate entertainer through the many phases of a life well lived. Hopefully she will make you laugh, make you cry, and who knows, along the way you might even learn a thing or two! 46th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens House Tour

Join the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA) in 2021 for their 46th annual Bucks County Designer House & Gardens event where they will be restoring Mearns Mill Manor, a wonderful 1870s mansion in Ivyland, to it former grace and splendor.

Sellersville Theater

Dead on Live

Based on their unique approach of recreating, literally note for note all instruments including the lush vocal harmonies as heard on the classic recordings of the 70’s, DOL has quickly become recognized nationally as one of the top acts to pay tribute to the music of the American treasure known as the Grateful Dead. There’s always lots of good old, Dead-inspired jamming to be had in every show.

Eddie Bruce

Cabaret artist and bandleader Eddie Bruce has entertained four generations of music lovers at theaters, nightclubs, hotel/casinos and at just about every major gala in the region and beyond. His celebrations of Anthony Newley, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and the best of Broadway have been presented on the stages of the Kimmel Center with the Philly Pops, Prince Musical Theater, Suzanne Roberts Theater, Birdland Theater, World Cafe’ Live, Milton Theater and Ambler Act II Theatre, among many others. This acclaimed salute to the iconic Tony Bennett marks Eddie Bruce‘s return to live performing after a one-year hiatus.

Memorial Day Weekend at Sesame Place

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Sesame Place! Don’t miss physically distant photos with Elmo dressed in festive red, white and blue all weekend at Photos with Elmo & Friends. Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and Count von Count, as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colorful bursts of brilliance. Be sure to watch us paint the sky red (and green and blue) from inside the park. This impressive display will certainly give you something to celebrate this Memorial Day Weekend!

Fifth Annual Pints and Paws

Come on out to the 5th annual Memorial Day weekend Pints & Paws event with Harley's Haven Dog Rescue! Bring your furry friends, grab a pint, and meet some adoptable dogs looking for their forever home. Yes, you read that right - the Beer Garden will be coming back once again this summer!

Tours at Pearl S. Buck House

Choose between two unique and engaging tours at Pearl S. Buck House. The “Taking Action” tour engages visitors in conversations about subjects important to Ms. Buck. It inspires them to reflect on their own values and to take action to make the world a “good and peaceful place,” as Pearl S. Buck said and did. The “Life and Legacy” tour takes visitors through a rich, mostly intact collection makes guests feel as if they are visiting the house in the time Ms. Buck and her family lived there. Objects from the ordinary (a closet full of board games played by the family) to the extraordinary (the typewriter Ms. Buck used to write The Good Earth) add to the fascinating experience.

Doylestown 5K Race

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend and the 28th running of the Doylestown 5K Race. This challenging and family-friendly race starts at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and ends in the heart of flag-lined Doylestown Borough on State Street!

PA Fish for Free Day

No license, no problem! Sunday, May 30 marks one of two days in Pennsylvania where everyone is legally allowed to fish without a license. Partner up with the park naturalist for a day of fishing along the Delaware Canal! Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with a hands-on exhibit of fishing equipment, local fish identification, knot tying, casting, and fly tying.
