Veterans can take advantage of free tours of Washington Crossing Historic Park’s historic landmarks. Look for festive parades throughout the County, like the 11th Annual Lower Makefield Veterans Parade and Commemorative Ceremony for Veterans Square Monument with musical performances by Pennsbury High School’s Marching Band. Veterans Day Ceremony at Council Rock North High School
Council Rock North High School is hosting a ceremony to honor our country’s military personnel. Following a brief presentation by this year’s special guest, former U.S. Army nurse Captain Lynn O’Brien of Holland, students will be invited to interact and interview veterans from various American Legion Posts. All veterans are invited to attend, uniforms welcome!

Washington Crossing Historic Park – Free Tours for Veterans
In celebration of Veterans Day, Washington Crossing Historic Park is offering free tours to all U.S. veterans and active-duty military personnel. Tours include stops at the Lower Park, the Thompson-Neely House & Farmstead and Bowman’s Hill Tower.

Veterans Day at Applebee’s
Applebee’s is honoring America’s veterans and active-duty military by offering them a free meal on Veteran’s Day from a special Veteran’s Day menu. Visit a local Bucks County Applebee’s to take advantage.

Observance at Washington Crossing National Cemetery
The Guardians of the National Cemetery is sponsoring A Veterans Day Observance at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

Veterans Day Parade in Yardley
Veterans will take to the streets of Yardley to honor the country’s veterans and active-military. Parade veterans will step off from American Legion Post 317 at 215 South Main Street and proceed to the Yardley Monument for a Veterans Day Observance and Ceremony beginning promptly at 11 a.m. Speakers include Yardley Mayor Chris Harding, American Legion Commander Ted Smith and distinguished guest speaker Robert Craven.

Veterans Memorial Paver Bricks Unveiling in Northampton Township
The Northampton Township is hosting a ceremony to celebrate Veterans Day and unveil the Veterans Memorial Paver Bricks. There will be a Veterans Memorial Walk of Honor in front of the Township Building (55 Township Road) by the Memorial Monument. A Color Guard from the Marine Corps League Patriot Detachment will be in attendance to post colors, as well as four Honored Guests who will be veterans representing four eras: WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq/Afghanistan. Refreshments and snacks will be provided after the ceremony.

Yardley Commemoration Ceremony for Miriam Knowles
St. Andrew’s Church Cemetery will host a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of U.S. Army Nurse Miriam Knowles. Miriam Knowles was a Bucks County local who joined the John Hopkins medical unit and served as a member of the Nurse Corps of the American Expeditionary forces in France. Knowles passed during her service as a result of scarlet fever at 28 years old.

Veterans Parade and Commemorative Ceremony in Lower Makefield
The Annual Lower Makefield Veterans Parade and Commemorative Ceremony returns for its 11th year, honoring our country’s veterans and active-duty military personnel. The parade steps off at Edgewood and Long Acre, followed by a commemorative ceremony at Veterans Square Monument. The parade features veterans from various eras, including this year’s parade marshal, WWII veteran Carl N. Wallnau Jr. and Pennsbury High School’s world-renowned band will be performing.

Kick Off to the Holidays at Peddler’s Village
Snag some early holiday cheer at the Kick Off to the Holidays hosted by Peddler’s Village. Mrs. Claus is visiting Giggleberry Fair for a holiday party that includes selfies with Mrs. Claus, “wish list” letter writing to Santa, free crafting with Santa’s elves and a tree lighting to cap off the evening at Giggleberry Fair. Free hot cider and hot chocolate for all!

40th Annual Bucks County Sculpture Show
As part of the Central Bucks Chamber’s Bucks Fever Celebration of the Arts, The Bucks County Sculpture Show returns for its 40th year – displaying a beautiful collection of sculptures along with apple cider and chef-prepared treats.

The North Pole Express at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad
