Why We Love This
  • Great for families!
  • Friendly & Informative Tour Guides!
  • Explore this well-maintained National Historic Landmark!
  • Choose one of two great tours: Pearl S. Buck: Taking Action which includes a Tour & Interactive Dialogue. This tour shares the story of Pearl S. Buck’s forward-thinking human rights advocacy for issues that remain relevant today. Pearl S. Buck, winner of the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes, used her fame to shed light on the rights of marginalized communities including people of color, people with disabilities, women, biracial children, and immigrants. Beyond using her writing to bring attention to these social justice issues, she took action to help those affected. Tour times for Taking Action are M-F at 11 am and 2:30 pm Sat and Sun at 1 pm. We also have Pearl S. Buck: Life & Legacy Traditional Historic House Tour. This traditional biographic tour of her home, the Pearl S. Buck House, a National Historic Landmark. A rich and mostly intact collection, with a focus on history and architecture. Tour times for Life and Legacy, M–F at 1 pm, Sat at 11 am and 2:30 pm, Sun at 2:30 pm.
