9th Annual Juried Fine Art Show
Art enthusiasts, collectors, and the public are invited to attend the 9th Annual Juried Show Opening at the AOY Art Center on Friday, October 23 from 6 - 8 pm. The exhibition begins Saturday, October 24 and runs through November 15. Gallery hours are 12 - 5 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
AOY is pleased to have one of Bucks County’s renowned artists, Jennifer Hansen Rolli, as the Juror for 2020. Ms. Rolli is a frequent illustrator for the cover of Bucks County Magazine, a children’s author and artist. https://www.jenniferhansenrolli.com/
This year's show was to have been held April 3-26. However, everything came to a stop with the onset of Covid-19. Thus, like many art organizations we had to reassess. Unlike many art organizations, we have decided to reschedule rather than cancel outright.
There will be in-person Gallery Time and an in-person Opening/Awards Presentation on Friday October 23 at 7PM. There will be an online gallery as well to augment the visibility, and sales of the artwork. This is what most galleries are showing on their websites and it consists of a grid where all the artwork is 1"x1."
At AOY we wanted to do something unique that would truly showcase your art and provide the experience of a gallery. WE are pleased to announce that you can also experience this show in an immersive 3D Virtual Gallery! We believe we are the only art organization in the area to offer such an experience in conjunction with our exhibition! The 3D gallery allows the visitor to see the art in relation to other artworks, get a sense of size. The viewer can click on an image and see the artist’s information and statement as well. In a very special feature, Jennifer Hanson Rolli, the Juror, has narrated her reasons for selecting key pieces as part of an online guided tour. The online and 3D gallery will not be available until the Opening Night, October 23 6pm at aoyartcenter.org
At AOY we take great care to ensure everyone's safety at the Gallery and Opening.
We will hold the Opening Reception outside where people can socially distance. Masks will be required. We will limit the number of persons inside the Art Center Gallery to 20 for 20 minutes at a time. Sanitation stations will be present as well. AOY has also increased our cleaning and have tertiary air filtration units to assist in mitigating any spread of disease.
