The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County is putting together special programs on October 16 and 23 from 10am to 7pm to present “A Closer Look” at some of the artists who have work in the Fall Salon Member Show at Freeman Hall in Doylestown. While there for “A Closer Look,” take some time to browse the Salon Show of nearly 140 artworks representing over 70 artists.
Several artists will be painting en plein air on the lawn or porch, and community members may stop in any time during the day to see them at work and take a closer look at their process. On October 16, see Helene Mazur, Angela Pannone, Elena Maksina, Megan Lawlor, Sandra Eliot, and Susan Roberts at their easels or drawing boards. On October 23, Nancy Miller, Sue Ann Rainey, Beth Schoenleber, Carol Gilbert, and Christine Ochab-DiCostanza will be set up outside creating works inspired by the surroundings.
Up close and personal gallery talks will be going on both days as well. On October 16 meet printmaker Barbara Zietchick, photographer John Benigno, abstract artist Armor Keller, and artist and illustrator Deb Hoeffner. On October 23 meet photographer Diane Levell, fine artist Lisa Domenic, abstract artist and author Lynn Miller, oil painter Gene Underwood, and realist still life painter Jeanne Chesterton.
The complete schedule of gallery talks is available at www.bucksarts.org/events.
