A Little Night Music: Stephen Sondheim and Broadway
Stephen Sondheim is considered to be one of the most influential Broadway writers of our lifetime. He is known for West Side Story, Gypsy, Into The Woods, Company, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music and many more. He has won multiple Tony, Grammy, Golden Globe and other major awards as well as an Oscar for Best Original Song in a Film and the Presidental Medal of Freedom. Sondheim has written for stage, television, film and specialty cabaret venues, and has written songs that have become pop hits, such as “Send In The Clowns,” recorded by Frank Sinatra and “Sooner Or Later,” recorded by Madonna. This program presents his music, featuring duets from many of his shows.
