Clint Flack and Annie Halliday of the Mercer Museum return to present the third and final part of the Doan Gang of Bucks County series, “The Giants of Villainy” on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 7 to 9 PM in the Auditorium at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church located at 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
This presentation will explore the aftermath of the Doan Gang's biggest robbery including court proceedings, executions, and exile. It also covers details of the Halsey cabin shootout in 1783.
The Doan gang was a group of British loyalists, the most notorious members being five brothers and one cousin from the Doan family of Plumstead. The gang was composed of around 30 members who were accused murderers, attainted traitors, and horse thieves.
Clint Flack is the Exhibit Specialist/Preparator at the Mercer Museum located in Doylestown, PA. Annie Halliday is the Library and Archives Manager of the Mercer Museum Research Library.
