Drone flying over Crossing Vineyards and Winery

Crossing Vineyards & Winery

Founded by the Carroll Family, Tom Sr., Christine and Tom Jr., in 2000, Crossing Vineyards and Winery produced its first vintage in 2002 in the heart of historic Bucks County.

The winery began with a five-acre block of French hybrid and European vinifera grapes and 10 more acres were planted in 2003. Award-winning varieties at the vineyard include, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin.

Crossing Vineyards is located on a 200-year-old estate that was once part of Longmeadow Farm, part of the King of England's land grant to William Penn in the 1600s.

The winery's bottle label features the David Barton Taylor House that's dated 1830 and on the Bucks County Registry of Historic Places. The property was reportedly used as one of the mustering sites for the Colonial troops before George Washington's legendary crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas night in 1776. Famous aviator, Casey Jones, bought the land in the 1930's to run a dairy farm there and his close friend, Charles A. Lindbergh, is said to have stayed in the house.

The vineyard is eco-friendly with a green, energy-efficient building and vintner Tom Jr. turns winery waste into compost and uses a computerized weather station to collect microclimate data.

Crossing's Chocolate Cherry Truffle, or "dessert in a bottle," has been a huge seller and is available at the winery's main location or outlet stores!
