National Travel & Tourism Week

National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition for the U.S. travel community sponsored by the U.S. Travel Association. It’s a time when travel and tourism professionals across the country unite to celebrate the value travel holds for our economy, businesses and personal well-being. Each May, Visit Bucks County pops in to hotel and attraction partners with treats, destination guides and latest edition of Well Seasoned to prepare them for the busy spring/summer season. The VBC team also utilizes this week to get out and give back to the local community with an annual road clean-up.

Advocacy

VBC participates in U.S. Travel’s Destination Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Legislative Day in Harrisburg, where staff meet with legislators at the federal and state level to discuss matters affecting the hospitality industry. Recently, a new Board of Directors Committee was formed to focus on advocacy to address legislative issues and topics impacting Bucks County’s hospitality industry.
