Doylestown is home to an abundance of must-try local restaurants featuring innovative menus and locally sourced ingredients—it’s also a great place for Sunday brunch! We’ve selected nine eateries that represent the charm and appeal of the town’s culinary scene.
The Hattery Stove & Still
This modern-day tavern inside the Doylestown Inn will transport you back in time. Its antique-industrial decor calls back to the building’s prior history as a hattery, cigar shop, and speakeasy. Serving lunch, dinner, and brunch seven days a week, enjoy a large menu full of eclectic influences. Try their Cheddar Stuffed Biscuit Waffles or a fun cocktail like their Banana Bread Old Fashioned.
86 West Restaurant and Bar
Perfect for a night out, 86 West combines a chic vibe with an intriguing menu of sushi and small plates. In season, enjoy a large selection of creative food and drinks from their outdoor bar and patio. While they also serve salads and burgers, we suggest trying a few of their signature sushi rolls.
Genevieve’s Kitchen
Genevieve’s Kitchen serves New American cuisine with an Italian influence. Their motto, “pure, simple, good,” is realized through seasonal menus full of local ingredients. Try their innovative brunch, served all week long with both savory and sweet options, or make a reservation for dinner, which is BYOB. Outdoor dining is available in season.
Terrain Cafe
This greenhouse cafe blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor dining. Large windows and skylights flood the space with natural light, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Terrain sources its ingredients from local farmers, including students at nearby Delaware Valley University. It then creates thoughtful seasonal menus for brunch and dinner, including classics like boneless beef short ribs, chicken pot pie, and lobster rolls. They also serve an extensive selection of coffee, hot tea, wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Heirloom Doylestown
One of Doylestown’s newest restaurants, this farm-to-table gem sources ingredients from small-scale agricultural suppliers. Heirloom serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is a BYOB establishment. Their menu changes weekly, but be sure to try their Bread and Spread—a local artisan bread paired with a seasonal topping.
Lucatelli’s
Lucatelli’s uses authentic family recipes from Italy and high-quality ingredients to create mouthwatering pizza, stromboli, and pasta. They make all their own sauces, and many of their pizzas use fresh mozzarella and Italian tomatoes. Try one of their gourmet pizzas, such as the White Truffle, or order from their menu of thin Sicilian Grandma pizzas. They also make their own meatballs, which you can get nestled in a garlic knot.
Maxwell’s on Main
Lovingly known as MOMs, this friendly neighborhood bar serves craft food and the best selection of craft beer in Bucks County. Stop by for a lunch or dinner libation or Sunday brunch. Their extensive menu features a Southern influence, offering favorites such as Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits, or a Southern picnic with shareable platters available in one of their indoor dining rooms or outdoor or patio seating areas. With live bands every weekend and frequent special events, Maxwell’s has earned its place as a go-to destination.
Lula
Inspired by Mexican culture, Lula brings Latin cocktails and cuisine to Doylestown. Pair tacos, empanadas, and other small bites with tequila-forward cocktails like a Mezcal Margarita or a Blood Orange Paloma. Started as a summer pop-up, they’re now open Wednesday through Sunday. Enjoy summertime vibes all year long—and don’t miss their popular Sunday brunch.
Vernafern
Located within Main Street Marketplace, Vernafern is one of the area’s newest and hottest restaurants. Tradition meets creativity with a rotating menu of vibrant dishes, offering an elevated yet casual experience for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch. Their counter seating provides a great view of the open kitchen, where their chef strives to use every part of each ingredient, from root to shoot. Highlights include the pasta of the day, seasonal salads, handhelds, and toasts—or book the Chef’s Table for six unforgettable, personalized courses.
