Having grown up in Bucks County, I’ve explored many spots, but a few have truly stayed with me. From the first time I visited them, I knew I loved them. These places are so great I wish I could visit them again for the first time. Whether you are new to Bucks County, or just looking for more places to try out, these hidden gems are definitely worth your while.

Shady Brook Sunflower Farm
The first time I went to the Shady Brook Farm Sunflower Field I was 15 and it was my birthday. As someone whose favorite flowers are sunflowers, I knew this place would be an amazing site. However, I was not prepared for the magnificent scene I saw. When you walk in, all you see is rows after rows of sunflowers. It felt like it went for miles! Being able to walk through the aisles and pick your own flowers was amazing. The whole place was absolutely breathtaking. Shady Brook Farm even has a full festival dedicated to their sunflowers in August!
Tanners Brothers
Living in the Philadelphia Suburbs, I love being able to see farms all around me. Tanners Brothers Dairy Farm has it all! When I was younger, I loved walking around and seeing all the goods they have. Their strawberry milk was my absolute favorite and a must grab every time I shopped there. And their ice cream is perfect! Getting wedding cake ice cream and watching the cows was a core memory for me. Now while I drive to work every day and pass the cows, I am filled with happy memories.
Ringing Rocks
Most people first go to Ringing Rocks Park as a little kid, but I first went when I was 17. I had always heard about Ringing Rocks, but I could never have imagined the site I saw when I finally visited. As far as you can see, there are rocks. It was spectacular. The farther you walk back, the farther the rocks go. Climbing over the rocks and hitting them with a hammer, hearing all the different sounds they make, was so much fun. In addition, they had hiking trails I was able to go on and see a waterfall. As someone who loves hiking, this was an amazing experience and definitely one for all ages.

Empanada Mama
Empanada Mama in Doylestown has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Bucks County. This small window-sill shop has amazing food with plenty of options. With new flavors every week, I am always able to try new creations. Korean Beef is a must-get flavor every time I visit. If there is one place I always take friends who visit Bucks County, it is Empanada Mama!
Sesame Place
I was probably the biggest Elmo fan as a little kid. My first pair of earrings were Elmo earrings, and every time Sesame Street came on, Elmo was the only name I would call out. As you can imagine, Sesame Place in Langhorne was an astonishing place for me. Having an amusement park close by was surreal. I am a huge roller coaster fan, and it definitely started by visiting Sesame Place and riding their rides. With countless things to do, Sesame Place is one of the best attractions Bucks County has to offer.
Bucks County is home to so many amazing places. Next time you’re visiting, make sure to stop by one (or better off all!!) of these incredible stops!
