View where Henry Mercer created his famous decorative tiles at The Tileworks. Artisans at this living history museum still produce tiles and mosaics in the style of Mercer’s original designs. Next door, you can tour Fonthill Castle, Mercer’s 44-room concrete castle that houses his personal collection of tiles and prints. Then, head to the Mercer Museum, housing Mercer's extensive collection of Americana artifacts. More than 50,000 pieces are displayed from floor to ceiling in this one-of-a-kind destination. 

Walk Along Main Street, Doylestown

Shop 'til you drop along Main Street in Doylestown! Pop into Serendipity Shops for your next Bucks County merch addition, make a stop at The Doylestown Bookshop to find your newest read, Looking for a different activity? Check out Main Street Sport & Social, the perfect all-in-one destination featuring golf simulators, duckpin bowling, indoor mini golf, and a full-service cocktail bar. Dinner & A Movie

Finally, catch a movie at County Theater, a 75-year-old art deco theater specializing in independent, art and foreign films. Afterwards, grab dinner in charming New Hope. Check out The Salt House for elevated pub fare, Anzu Social for a delicious meal inspired by traditions across Asia, and Nektar for when you want to share a meal and a bottle or two of wine.

Sip Some Tea at Wallace & Davis Enchanted English Tea Room

This English garden inspired location offers a respite from the everyday so when life gets hectic, and a little bit rainy, you can stop in for a spot of bespoke English tea and savory treats. Make sure to stop at Peddler's Village, voted the second best shopping center in the country by USA Today, and visit Fizzy Mama, a soda shop taking a modern twist on an old-fashioned soda fountain, Cloak and Wand, a fantasy wizarding and witchcraft shop featuring a well-appointed potion bar, and Mama Hawk's for a yummy drink and pastry.

Discover & Play at the Bucks County Children’s Museum

Sometimes a break from the outdoors can be educational! Let the little ones explore and learn at the Bucks County Children’s Museum. Kids can build their own race car, climb High Rocks “ride” in a hot air balloon or dig for buried treasure. 

Grab a Bite to Eat at Pineville Tavern

Rainy days call for a warm bowl of sizzling soups and stews! This cozy tavern was built in 1742, its front porch once a central gathering place for selling land and livestock. Today, locals love to stop in and slurp up their famous Snapper Soup that has been taste tested by Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

Spend the afternoon strolling the indoor art museum dedicated to Impressionist paintings from many national and Pennsylvania artists. Relax and mediate inside the Nakashima Room, a zen den filled with wooden art crafted by the late Bucks County resident George Nakashima.
