Small Living Things: The Magical Art of Eric Carle

The exhibition Small Living Things highlights the small creatures from Eric Carle’s collection with original artwork from his well-known books The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Quiet Cricket, The Very Busy Spider, The Very Clumsy Click Beetle, The Grouchy Ladybug, and more, as well as larger animals from the classic Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? collaboration with Bill Martin Jr.

The Sensational Soul Cruisers

The Sensational Soul Cruisers are an 11-man horn group fronted by four soulful vocalists who pay homage and tribute to the very best of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s Old School, Classic Soul, RnB, Motown and Disco. Radical Americana at Andalusia

Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum is an exhibiting partner of Radical Americana, a series of exhibitions organized by The Clay Studio and other arts and cultural institutions in the Philadelphia area. Contemporary artists working with craft materials — such as wood, clay, fiber, glass, and metal — will display their art in historical settings throughout the region, including the Big House at Andalusia.

Tile Mosaic Exhibitions

Check out a series of historic Mercer mosaics, re-issues from the tile floor at the Pennsylvania State Capitol building, including Washington Crossing the Delaware, The Signing of the Declaration of Independence, and The Liberty Bell. The tiled pavement in the Pennsylvania State Capitol, designed by Henry Chapman Mercer, features close to 400 mosaics illustrating Pennsylvania history through scenes, native artifacts, indigenous flora and fauna, and colonial crafts & industries.
