aN INTIMATE SUMMERTIME WEDDING AT STELLA OF NEW HOPE
- Keirstin of Haley Richter Photography
Our Story:
“We met in Philadelphia - we both worked in the city. Nick proposed at the Cape May Lighthouse. I was 100% surprised. It was such a perfect day! We chose Stella in New Hope as our wedding venue because we fell in love with the ambiance and setting. We wanted a more intimate, restaurant wedding. Stella exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the rooms they have available with beautiful windows looking out to the Delaware River. If you love farm-to-table food, Stella is the answer. The food is so fresh and it feels good to know where your food is coming from. Ghost Light Inn is a bonus. It is truly a beautiful hotel. We received great customer service. Like many 2020 couples, we were affected by COVID-19. Our 100-person wedding was supposed to take place on May 30, 2020. Instead, on May 30th, Nick and I got married in front of our parents. We postponed the larger wedding celebration to July 31, 2020. In early July we quickly realized that a 100-person wedding, inside, was not going to happen. Governor Wolf changed the indoor capacity a few weeks before July 31. We made the very difficult decision to cancel the large wedding celebration, instead we held a celebration for 23 people (our parents, grandmother, siblings and nephews and niece). It was a beautiful day and Stella did an amazing job! Our day ended up being even more intimate than expected.” – Emily & Nick
