Bucks County finished the year strong, reaching impressive occupancy milestones. In 2024,
Bucks County’s lodging sector had a standout year, with occupancy rates rising by more than +4% compared to 2023. 2024 monthly occupancy consistently outperformed 2023 levels.
In December, Visit Bucks County launched a newly redesigned website at www.visitbuckscounty.com and drove national media headlines, including mentions from both Good Morning America and The New York Times.
The momentum carries into 2025, making a visit to Bucks County an essential experience. To help you plan your trip, Visit Bucks County has rounded up a list of what’s coming this year.

- Sesame Place® Philadelphia

Sesame Place® Philadelphia will mark its 45th anniversary in 2025 with a season-long Birthday Celebration, new St. Patrick’s Day festivities, and expanded accessibility as the first U.S. theme park to join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, offering complimentary Sunflower-branded identifiers for guests with non-visible disabilities.

Andalusia Historic House, Gardens and Arboretum will unveil a new special exhibition gallery featuring recent acquisitions that showcase over two centuries of American history and life at Andalusia.

Bristol Riverside Theatre will reopen with a newly renovated theatre auditorium, the John Martinson Theatre, which will feature state-of-the-art upgrades such as improved sound and lighting, new seating, handrails, carpeting, and a redesigned interior by USA Architects and Sweetwater Construction Corp.

Bucks County Children’s Museum will renovate 5,000 square feet of exhibit space by Fall 2025, introducing interactive, sensory-friendly, and Bucks County-themed galleries, including Georges Inn and a new Treehouse Exhibit, with a grand opening planned for December 2025.

Bucks County Joy Rides recently launched a Barn Tour featuring The Coffee Scoop, a roastery on a historic family farm with ties to local legends, while Doan Gang Tours in Plumstead and Newtown will continue year-round, complementing the Mercer Museum exhibit.

The Shops at The Square in Dublin Town Center recently marked five years and will expand The Square in April 2025 with the addition of Bucks County Gardens, alongside completed renovations to The Plaza, now part of the Dublin Town Center family.

Main Street Sport & Social is located on the 2nd Floor of the Main Street Marketplace in the heart of Doylestown Borough. Offering indoor entertainment for all ages, visitors can enjoy Golf Simulators, Duckpin Bowling, and 9-hole Mini Golf. Washington Crossing Historic Park will introduce several new experiences in 2025, including a multisensory tour for visually impaired visitors in the summer, the reinstalled 18th-century kitchen garden at the Thompson-Neely House, and the building of an ADA-accessible Durham Boat display to be complete in 2026.

Gather Place Museum will offer history-rich programs, including live and virtual presentations on trailblazers like Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and Ida B. Wells, walking tours of Yardley’s Underground Railroad landmarks, seasonal workshops, exhibits, and community storytelling on April 26th.

The Michener Art Museum presents Anila Quayyum Aga: Interwoven (September 6 – January 25), a comprehensive exhibition featuring diverse media, including sculpture, installation, embroidery, painting, and immersive displays like lightboxes and room-sized beaded installations; Yesterday’s Dreams Are Real: Collecting Black Art and the Legacy of Lewis Tanner Moore (February 15 – July 27), celebrating Lewis Tanner Morre’s efforts to champion Black artists and encourage institutions to prioritize diversity in their collections; and, Super/Natural (April 12-September 14), the first public exhibition of Judith Schaechter’s immersive stained-glass dome, exploring art, beauty, morality and the brain.

Peddler’s Village will host a year full of special events, including Celebrate Safari in Sand with larger-than-life sand sculptures all summer-long.

Sweetwater Farm offers horse-drawn wagon rides through the scenic back roads of Tinicum, allowing guests to relax to the rhythm of hooves, breathe in the crisp air, and enjoy the gentle sway of the wagon, with the option to bring the experience to your event.

The TileWorks of Bucks County will present A Night of Song inside The Big Room, along with Stage United, and a Special Exhibition Wild Clay, along former apprentice Mike Madeiros and Matt and Betsy Zimmerman.
