Make sure you stop by the very first independently owned coffee shop in Levittown, The Bridge, located on Emile-Bristol Road. Having just opened in late November, the vibe in this coffee spot is both comfortable and friendly, giving that feeling like you are part of a scene from “Central Perk” right out of the sitcom Friends. Not only is the seating plentiful and cozy, but you can plant yourself on one of the snuggly couches with a friend or family member while sipping on a latte or delicious coffee in a pretty clay mug. The atmosphere is impressive, with pictures all over the place of Bucks County’s beautiful bridges. Presently, you can treat yourself to a variety of delicious coffees, hot chocolates, teas, espressos, and even a cold brew, just to name a few. A popular choice is the “Sweater Weather in the 215” which is a maple sea salt latte. Emily, Austin, and Terry were whipping up hot drinks for guests coming through the doors on this particularly cold morning. I tried the Toasted Smores Latte. It was outstanding! In addition to the amazing drinks, there are muffins, cookies, croissants, and other baked goodies available.
I had the opportunity to sit with Ross, one of the board members, who shared some upcoming coffee shop excitement. Coming soon is an expanding food menu. Because there was a sampling of menu items in preparation for the soon-to-be big reveal, I was able to preview and nibble on the Avocado Ranch Cob salad as Ross munched on the Greek Salad. There will be sandwiches such as the Prosciutto Press and Chicken Salad Ciabatta. Even hot soup and Monkey Bread, made with toasted whole grain bread, Nutella, banana, granola, and honey are being added, just to name a few. What I like most about The Bridge is the living room feel of the entire space. One can even reserve the Community Room which seats fifteen people and includes the use of an 85-inch screen and whiteboard. There are board games for both the young and old and free Wifi perfect for those working remotely and looking for a cozy space to be productive.
One more mention and reason for stopping by this amazing and new hot spot is the Pay it Forward board. This is a corkboard where visitors can pre-pay for a drink to share with a neighbor when they need it. What a wonderful concept! In addition to this, The Bridge gives away 100% of its profit to the community. Treat your kids, grandparents, siblings, parents, a date, friend, or YOURSELF to an amazing hot or cold drink and treat in one of Bucks County’s finest and coziest coffee spots. You will leave here feeling good about yourself, loving on your community, and satisfied by what you just tasted!
