2. Sing and dance at Sesame Place Events, January 11 - March 9
On weekends beginning January 11 through March 9, 2025 guests are invited to visit the park to enjoy their family fun events. 3. Solve a Mystery in Peddler’s Village

4. Ride Through the Countryside on the New Hope Railroad
Ride the antique coaches pulled by a Heritage Diesel Locomotive on a narrated train along the New Hope Railroad. Book private charters, bar cars and ride on seasonally themed rides. Come spring, look out for their Easter Bunny Excursion. Advanced reservations are required before visiting.

5. Meander through the Mercer Museum
Henry Chapman Mercer was a renowned architect, philanthropist, archaeologist and more from Doylestown. Housed in the Mercer Museum are more than 40,000 American artifacts he collected during the Industrial Revolution, including a Conestoga wagon and horse-drawn carriages. Witness Found, Gifted, Saved! Check out The Doan Gang: Outlaws of the Revolution exhibit, open now until December 31, 2026.

6. Shop, Dine & Celebrate in Peddler’s Village

7. Fall in love with the Fonthill Castle
Take a tower tour of Fonthill Castle, another castle along the Mercer Mile built by Henry Chapman Mercer, where you'll climb many steps to hidden rooms filled with beautiful tiles. This is where Mercer used to live!

9. Become an Explorer at Ringing Rocks
Ringing Rocks Park is a great place for exploring the wilderness in Upper Black Eddy. Bring your own hammer and listen to the mysterious ringing of the boulder fields when the rocks are struck.

Sip your way through the beautiful wineries of Bucks County on the Bucks County Wine Trail, encompassing hundreds of acres of vineyards with beautiful views and bountiful grapes. 13. Browse for books at a Bucks County book store
Get lost in a good book! We’re in for a few more weeks of chilly temperatures and frosty winds. While we wait for days filled with sunshine again, check out one of Bucks County’s many book shops to take home something worth reading! Head to Central Books and Doylestown Bookshop in Doylestown, Newtown Book & Record Exchange, Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope.
14. Discover a Hidden Gem of History
You may or may not be aware of a very historic town in Bucks County - Historic Fallsington! In this beautiful town you will the historical Fallsington Friends’ Meeting House, along with a horse block. This place is so rich in history! 16. Get active at Tyler State Park
The 1,711-acre Tyler State Park is divided into sections by the Neshaminy Creek and offers hiking, biking, disc golf and equestrian trails. Bundle up and burn some calories however you please!
17. Sip your way along the Bucks County Ale Trail

18. Blow off some steam with Axe Throwing
Originating in Canada, the “game” of axe throwing is played with a group where you score points by hitting a large wooden target, similar to darts. Though it sounds dangerous at first, it’s a safe and controlled environment, making it fun, easy to learn, and great for groups. Bring family, friends, employees or even a date to Bury the Hatchet or Stumpy's Hatchet Throwing.
19. Tour the Underground Railroad
Follow these driving directions to the stops located in Upper and Central Bucks County that were once part of the Underground Railroad – the safe spots on the journey north for escaped slaves in the 19th century!
20. Relish in the History of the Revolutionary War
Washington Crossing Historic Park isn't just a historic site that changed the course of the Revolutionary War, it's also an important place that can be traced to the freedoms Americans enjoy today. Experience history for yourself around the preserved village buildings, cemetery and park grounds with passive recreation.
21. Go Ice Skating
Time together on the ice is fun! All skating levels are welcome at Revolution Ice Gardens in Warwick where public skating is available on Friday and Saturday nights. Other places to skate include Bucks County Ice Sports Center in Warminster and Oxford Valley Park (when the temperature is right!).
22. Find a thrill Cross-Country Skiing
For the more exhilarating outdoor enthusiasts, make your way to the trails in Nockamixon State Park. Weather permitting, there are several trails upon which cross-country skiing is allowed. This active excursion is a perfect way to get your blood flowing and give you some picturesque views of the surrounding area.
23. Navigate a Nature Trail at Silver Lake Nature Center
Looking to beat the winter blues? Grab the family for an afternoon of outdoor fun. Join Silver Lake Nature Center for a free, leisurely and informative walk covering seasonal topic along the nature trails and through the Earthship. The spacious and scenic trails wander through diverse habitats preserved at the Nature Center.
