1. Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arborteum

Explore the extensive gardens and Greek Revival architecture at Andalusia Historic House & Gardens. Tour the centuries-old residence, stroll the Walled Garden and Greek Walk, and take in the picturesque views of the Delaware River. The 65-acre picturesque estate contains the Biddle family's early 19th century Greek Revival home, surrounded by stunning, native woodlands and spectacular formal gardens. View it on their special Open Saturdays and through October, you can tour the "Big House."

2. Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve

The 134-acre preserve features over 800+ species of native plants. Take a Behind-the-Scenes Nursery Tour or Guided Wildflower Walk. Bowman's Hill offers educational programs for adults and children like landscaping design, birding and more. The preserves is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Bucks County Designer House and Gardens

Every year, the Bucks County Designer House and Gardens is a sight to behold. Tours are available for a month long to the public. The 2024 Bucks County Designer House & Gardens, Sycamore Lane Farm, has been in the same family for over sixty years and is now owned by the next generation of family members who plan to make it their forever home. orty-five acres of rolling hills and farmland surround the house, and feature numerous outbuildings including an artist’s studio, milk house, smokehouse, bank barn, three-car garage, and a spring house.

4. Byers' Choice

The beautifully manicured gardens at Byers' Choice Emporium in Chalfont provide a stark contrast to the eternal winter inside. Visitors to the Caroler® workshop can stroll through the English sunken garden and the view garden's many sculptures and lush bushes, flowers and trees.

5. Churchville Nature Center

In appreciation of nature and wildlife habitats, this nature center became the first of its kind in Bucks County in 1964. Enjoy a nature walk, or attend one of their many colorful and educational attractions, such as the Janet V. Makiewicz Butterfly House, Marlin D. Corn Wildlife Gardens, and recreation of a Lenape Indian Village. 

6. Gardens at Mill Fleurs

Take a journey through the vast Gardens at Mill Fleurs. The landscapers spent 25 years perfecting the spot, which is evident when visitors see the immaculate foliage. This garden, which runs along the Tohickon Creek, is focused on shade plants and shrubs.

7. Henry Schmieder Arboretum

Just west of Doylestown is the massive Henry Schmieder Arboretum. Located on the campus of Delaware Valley University, this lush garden spreads out over 40 acres. The University created the allotment to serve as a “green rescue” for students, faculty and the surrounding community.

9. Peace Valley Lavender Farm

The unmistakable scent of lavender calls visitors to Peace Valley Lavender Farm. Explore the gift shop for unique lavender-inspired gift ideas, including bath and body lotions, culinary products and potpourri. Come between June and July to watch the purple flowers bloom and pick your own!

10. Peddler's Village

Take a stroll through the gardens at Peddler's Village. This 18th century-inspired shopping village features landscaped gardens throughout the 42-acre property, including a traditional Dutch style tulip garden that brings the entire village to life when it blooms in spring.

11. Silver Lake Nature Center

Offering more than 468 acres of playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, boating and fishing, the nature center includes trails, a museum and gift shop, amphitheater and butterfly garden. Public programs are available and there are free nature walks every Sunday! Reserve your group appointment today.

12. Tyler Gardens

Brought to life in the early 1930s, the formal Tyler Gardens at Bucks County Community College was created to host extravagant gatherings at the home of the Tyler family. This four-tiered garden inspired by French and Italian design sits on an acre of land and features fountains, bronze sculpture, stone walls, staircases and a gazebo.

13. 9/11 Memorial Garden of Reflection

Remember and honor victims of the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Journey through the Oak Garden and the "After Darkness...Light" outdoor exhibit with remnants of the Twin Towers, the names of the victims etched in glass and, at the center of the garden, two towering fountains.

14. Bucks County Audubon Society

Bucks County Audubon Society is a membership-based, nonprofit organization in New Hope, offering environmental education programs to people of all ages. Over 10,000 children and adults visit each year to experience nature, wild bird conservation, and habitat protection.
