Second hand and vintage stores have been on the rise in popularity in the 2020’s. If you have the time, you can find one-of-a-kind pieces and create a closet to be envious of. There is something so rewarding about finding a piece that ties your wardrobe together, or just stumbling upon a gem from the ‘70s. I will be the first to admit that I go thrifting maybe too much. I love finding new places to shop second hand, especially locally owned stores (that’s where the real finds are at). Located in New Hope, Ditto Vintage is just that.
Walking in for the first time, I was blown away with not only the aesthetic of the space, but the items they had in store. Ditto Vintage is like traveling back in time and landing in the wardrobe of a Farrah/Cher/Brittany crossover episode. Not only do they carry incredible vintage pieces, but they also have a few indie brands on display.
Opened online in 2017, Ditto’s mission was to find cool and unusual pieces that enhance personal style instead of falling in line with industry and online trends. The owner, Jessica Schuyler, takes the time to carefully curate her stock and pays close attention to all the details. Jessica worked in various consignment shops and studied fashion marketing before establishing Ditto, making her a total pro. She learned tips and tricks on cultivating and verifying her items and finds the charm in what would be otherwise looked over pieces.
The brick-and-mortar location opened in May 2023 and has attracted buyers from all over. Customers have traveled to Ditto in person from New York City to Philadelphia and everywhere in between. This hidden gem is also a stop for major fashion icons. Bella Hadid has just been featured in different fashion articles, all decked out in pieces found at Ditto Vintage.
If you’re looking for some showstopper items, or a complete refresh of your wardrobe, I highly suggest stopping by Ditto Vintage!
